What is Knight ID?

Knight ID is a self-sovereign identity wallet built on KERI (Key Event Receipt Infrastructure). It gives you full control over your digital identity — no centralized authority holds your keys.

How it works: When you create an identity, a unique cryptographic key pair is generated. Your master secret (a 21-character phrase) is the only way to recover it — there is no "forgot password" flow.

Verifiable Credentials (ACDCs) are tamper-proof digital certificates — like a license or certification — that others can verify instantly without calling an issuing authority.

In CropShare: Your Knight ID proves your role (grower, processor, retailer) so you can create batches, transfer products, and build a verifiable provenance chain that consumers can scan.
